‘Glow Up’ Season 2 : Release Date,Cast Netflix, Trailer, Plot, Top Story

BBC series (or Netflix Original outside the UK) Glow Up is not only returning for a second season but has already aired in the United Kingdom and is now lined up for release on Netflix around the world (excluding the UK) in August 2020.

Glow Up is a reality series presented by Stacey Dooley that airs first in the United Kingdom on BBC Three (a TV channel aimed at teens). It was picked up in the first season as a Netflix Original and falls under the “Exclusive international distribution” category of Originals. In short, Netflix doesn’t fully own the show.

Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star is a show that’s designed to find Britains next big make-up artist. Across eight episodes, the series whittles down its lineup of makeup artists until it crowns the eventual winner.

Season 1 of Glow Up was added to Netflix in most regions back in December 2019.

Season 2 aired on BBC Three between May 14th, 2020, and July 2nd, 2020.

Glow Up Season 2 airs on BBC Three via BBC iPlayer here.

New episodes are available on BBC iPlayer each Thursday from 7pm, running for eight episodes between Thursday 14 May and Thursday 2 July.

In the final episode, the top three MUAs go head to head to be crowned winner of Britain’s Next Make-Up Star. But first they’ll have to overcome their biggest Professional Assignment to date as they have been booked to lead their own make-up master class at one of the world’s most famous department stores– Harrods.

The next day in Glow Up HQ the MUAs take on their final Creative Brief– they must create a look on the theme of evolution, demonstrating who they were before they started this competition and who they are now.

Once the Creative Brief is over, the judges must decide which MUA has fallen at the last hurdle and which two head into the final Face Off, with only one being crowned winner of Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star 2020.

Ah, yes, more international series! This one’s kind of an uncommon case, though, as Glow Up is most definitely a BBC series in the United Kingdom––however, anywhere outside of the UK where the series is being watched, it’s a Netflix Original.

Interesting facts aside, the BBC series/Netflix Original is returning for a second season on the streaming platform all around the globe (except the UK) as soon as August of 2020.

Presented by the great Stacey Dooley herself, Glow Up is a reality series that was originally from the UK, specifically from BBC Three which is a channel dedicated to the teens’ enjoyment. The first season was picked up by the streaming giant in 2019––categorizing is at “Exclusive international distribution” in the platform. Well, basically, Netflix isn’t a full owner of the show. It just gets first-hand rights to distributing the UK series which is, honestly, a pretty big job to do.

Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star revolves around finding the next big British make-up artist. Boasting of a light eight episodes, the series slowly eliminates the original lineup of makeup artists one-by-one until a winner has been decided on and eventually crowned.

December 2019 proved to be one of the biggest days for the series as the first season of the show was added to Netflix in a handful of regions. On the other hand, the second season of the show was premiered on BBC Three from the 14th of May, 2020 to the 2nd of July, 2020.

The second season will also have eight episodes and will be dropping on the streaming giant on the 14th of August, 2020 in almost all the regions except the UK.

At this time, please don’t research about the show. Seeing that the series has recently concluded in the United Kingdom, a lot of sites and tabloids have already reported on the winner and the drama. If you don’t want any spoilers, be careful.
